DEC 2023 - COMMISSION FOR CHARLIE VIRDIN

A one of a kind commission - Charlie set out to give his shoes a new life, rather than going to the trash can. He asked to have his shoes displayed on a prized denim jacket, along with other special patches. It is continuously a gift to see all the ways we can circulate!

NOV 2023 - CELEBRATE THE CANVAS ft. STREETCAR

An evening to commemorate the body, Celebrate The Canvas was a collaborative event with MSU’s student led creative journal, The Streetcar. The event contained spoken word, collaging / blackout poetry, as well as live body painting. A zine was created for the event, highlighting the human experience of having a body and finding “home” within our “homes”. Check out this link here to view the zine digitally: https://www.thestreetcarmsu.com/other-publications

OCT 2023 - OMNIFORM For MSU Arts Dept.

OMNIFORM was an open discussion / panel centered around rigidity vs fluidity, and how this can show up in our creativity. The workshop also featured live body painting as pictured, where students were encouraged to paint themselves, one another, or the model. Thank you Jenna Altomonte for the opportunity to bring OMNIFORM to your Performance Arts Class.

DEC 2022 - COMMISSION FOR ARLO HINES

Make it whimsical - Arlo shines in this two piece set, made for graduation pictures! When envisioning the ensemble, they wanted something ethereal and fairy like. The set was then captured in a complimentary scene - Noxubee’s Wildlife Refuge. Thank you Arlo for asking Pink Plaid to be a part of your special day!

AUG 2022 - FLUIDITY COLLAB W/ @ambassador.mars

FLUIDITY is a project with the intent of highlighting fluidity, celebrating the ever-fleeting nature of the self. All of the facets and dimensions we carry- and the beautiful journey of unraveling them. Creative directory + photography + editing goes to Mars (@ambassador.mars). Thank you Mars for your openness, your eye, and all that you are. More to come with FLUIDITY soon!

JULY 2022 - COMMISSION FOR VERNON MAXWELL

Vernon Maxwell is a artist that is hungry to create (@the_vernonmaxwell). Ever since meeting him, their endless drive and motivation has touched in so many ways. Vernon performed at the first ever Safe Place and decided that he wanted to do so in the butterfly jumpsuit. Thank you to @ambassador.mars for capturing them and for your eye as always.

DEC 2021 - MSU FASHION BOARD COLLAB

There was a lot of time spent keeping up with MSU’S Fashion Board growing up, so hearing from them about a possible collaboration sparked inspiration. For the project, two ensembles were created, some saturation for the season! (models pictured: @ansleypie113 and @creatrixrosemary).

OCT 2021 - PHOTO SHOOT COLLAB W/ @artbysania

Meeting everyone the summer before, I was very thankful to come back together in the fall creatively. (as pictured, left to right: @ccliacarrr, @ladydeenxo, @rogerego). Based in ATL, everything fell together seamlessly - the pieces were made with the concept of layers. Thank you to @saniiaaaaa for her innovativeness and for capturing each moment magically.

OCT 2021 - COLLAB W/ @cometalyssa and @tr4shbear

Triple threat! This project was a collaboration between @tr4shbear and @c0metalyssa, both creatives based out of ATL. Tess (tr4shbear) is an aspiring photographer that captures much emotion. Alyssa (c0metalyssa) is a intergalactic makeup artist, as well as a painter. Thank you for the muses brought with this project and for all of the colors felt!

@sixomo, a memphis based photographer, has the ability to capture motion like none other. While staying in ATL, I was very thankful to cross paths and to work together creatively. Models pictured left to right: @jasmin.warnock, @brokeboifendi, @kyrawarnock, @linda.arnoldus.

JULY 2021 - COLLAB W/ @sixomo

JULY 2021 - COLLAB W/ @stvnisdead

Pink Plaid’s first collab! Based in ATL, Steven (@stvnisdead) is abundantly creative. Together we discussed we wanted to play around with perspective, so the shots and the outfits were created around that perimeter. Steven brought together all of the models - very thankful for first time projects as well as all of the connections made in the process!
